Install Aura.Jobs Scout
A Chrome extension for the Aura.Jobs team — submit any job posting in one click, earn +5 AP per approved submission.

Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc and Opera. Not supported on Firefox or mobile browsers.
Download aura-scout-extension.zip~40 KB. Unzip the file — you’ll get a folder named aura-scout-extension.
Load it into your browser
- Open a new tab and go to
chrome://extensions. - Toggle Developer mode on (top-right corner of the page).
- Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped
aura-scout-extensionfolder. - Pin the extension: click the Chrome puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar, then click the pin next to Aura.Jobs Scout so its icon is always visible.
Connect your Aura account
The extension needs an auth token to submit jobs on your behalf.
- Open /extension/auth and sign in with your Aura email + password. If you don’t have an account yet, register here first.
- Once you see the green “Successfully signed in!” box, the extension picks up your token automatically.
- Click the Aura.Jobs Scout icon in the toolbar. You should see “Connected! You can now submit jobs.”
Tokens expire after 1 hour. If submissions start failing, re-open the auth page to refresh.
Submit your first job
- Open a specific job posting on any career site (Personio, Greenhouse, Lever, SmartRecruiters, company career pages…). Listing pages don’t work — open the individual job first.
- Click the Aura.Jobs Scout icon in the toolbar.
- Hit “Add job to Aura”. Wait 3–8 seconds while the AI extracts the details.
- On success you’ll see +5 Aura Points and a link to view the new job.

Troubleshooting
The popup says “Please sign in first”.
Your token expired or was never stored. Open /extension/auth in the same Chrome profile and sign in again.
“Could not read the page.”
The page is still loading or uses heavy JavaScript rendering. Wait a few seconds, scroll to the job description, then retry. Listing pages are not supported — open the specific job URL.
“Too many submissions. Please wait an hour.”
You (or someone sharing your IP, like a VPN/office NAT) hit the 240/hour limit. Wait an hour or switch network.
The extension card shows “Access requested”.
That’s normal. Aura.Jobs Scout uses Chrome’s activeTab permission — it only gets access to a page when you click the toolbar icon. Click the Aura icon directly (not the three-dot menu) to submit a job.
How do I update the extension?
Re-download the zip from this page, unzip over the old folder, then go to chrome://extensions and click the circular reload icon on the Aura.Jobs Scout card.
